EXCLUSIVE PERSONALITY ROYAL AWARDS, UK RELEASES THE LIST OF NOMINEES
The Exclusive Personality Royal Awards (EPRA), Leadership and Entrepreneurial awards is a prestigious award held with the aim to inspire the next generation as well as appreciate the strides of Africans in Diaspora. The awards feature those in various fields from Leadership to health and civic responsibility.
The CEO of Monitor Healthcare Ltd (Dr. Femi Ogunremi) is nominated this year as Outstanding Medical Innovative Awards. The award is to recognize his service to the health sector both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
He and his team recently launched the AreaDoc app which is a Mobile Health app that facilitates access to medical care no matter where the user may be. This app is currently on both Android and iOS stores and the numbers of both users and medical practitioners signed on to the app are steadily increasing.
His company, Monitor Healthcare Ltd, is the primary distributor of BREAST – i in Africa and the Middle East. BREAST- i is a revolutionary, non-diagnostic, easy to use screening tool used to screen for breast cancer. The device is portable and is used around the world in mass screening and early detection of breast cancer. Monitor Healthcare is charged with bringing the tool to the continent and constantly seeks to partner with organizations to increase the reach and distribution of the device in Africa and the Middle East.
He is a Medical Educator, a mentor and actively involve with training medical and paramedical practitioners to become independent and advance practitioners under NHS. He has worked actively with Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), Pharmaceutical Press (PP), UKMi, CoAcS and various other international and local organisations to carry out different innovative trainings in the past years. He is keen to make Available, Affordable and Quality Healthcare to All Anywhere Anytime.
Alongside his medical practice, Dr. Ogunremi doubles as a Medical Director and Responsible Officer for RSiDR a designated body under NHS England London. As part of his roles, he revalidates and recommends Medical Doctors to General Medical Council (GMC) following satisfactory revalidation every five years in the UK.
The 2nd Edition of the EPRA awards is scheduled to hold at the Golden Palace Banqueting suite on 20th July 2018. It is hosted by the Fancy TV Channel UK. Some of the other awards to be presented include Rita Nwokeji (Humanitarian Overseas Service Award), Sickle Cell and Young Stroke Survivors Charity Organisation (Best Initiative Charity of the Year), Bob Ejike (Exclusive Entertainment Personality), Sunkanmi Oduwole (Rising Film Director of the Year) amongst others.
