MONITOR HEALTHCARE LIMITED PARTNERS WITH VGCPORA ON A 2-DAY BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS AND SCREENING PROGRAM
It was all about the health and wellbeing for the occupants of VGC on the 2nd and 3rd of August, 2019. Over 50 women were screened for breast and cervical cancer during the program that held at VGC Recreational club, Lekki, Lagos.
Monitor healthcare Limited, an organization dedicated to providing quality and affordable healthcare to everyone, anywhere, anytime carried out the breast cancer screening at no cost for the first 5 participants (it pays to be early) and at a much discounted rate for others so no one is left out being unaware of the health status. The BREAST-i was used for the screening process with its unique red light technology.
The cervical cancer screening was also done and treatment was given immediately for cases that were detected at the early stage.
There were awareness sessions where people present were enlightened about the need for early detection of these cancers and treatments proving a possible means of survival for those detected early.
Many of the participants were amazed at the new technology and excited at how easy the Breast-I could be used and that it could be owned and used personally. This was seen as many went on to invite others to be screened and also bought their own BREAST-i for personal screening.
