MONITOR HEALTHCARE LIMITED SCREENS ALMOST THREE HUNDRED (300) WOMEN FOR BREAST CANCER AT IKOM, CROSS RIVER STATE: IN AN EFFORT TO CHANGING THE NARRATIVE OF BREAST CANCER MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY OF NIGERIAN WOMEN
Another awesome experience and solid impact in breast cancer screening was created by Monitor Healthcare Ltd (MHL) at Ikom, Cross River State on the 14th of January 2020 where over three hundred (300) women got screened, taking great steps to reduce the death rates of Breast Cancer in women through awareness and screening.
Dr. Femi Ogunremi, CEO of Monitor Healthcare Ltd, enlightened all the women present on the advantages of regular Breast Self-Examination and screening, stating that regular screening greatly increases the possibility and chances of early detection hence, fast reaction to symptoms and gives a high tendency of being cured. He also encouraged the attendees to keep healthy lifestyles. Three hundred (300) women were registered, their BP was checked and they were all screened of Breast cancer.
With the help of Monitor Healthcare Ltd and Olam CSR, all 300 women were registered, got their blood pressure checked and screened using the company’s signature device – BREAST-i; a revolutionary self-use, portable, non-diagnostic screening device used to screen for cancerous lumps in the breast. Participants gladly went through the process as it is painless and no Irradiation.
