The DFO Series is coined from ‘Dr. Femi Ogunremi’ Masterclass Series. It is a deep learning platform and a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which is borne from a genuine love to enhance the quality of care and patient experience in the African healthcare system. The Masterclass is anchored by Dr. Femi Ogunremi, a medical practitioner and a medical educator with vast international and local experience in healthcare quality improvement. Following over two decades of both clinical and management experiences in Europe and the UK, he started the DFO MasterClass series to share his experiences around quality of care and how to adapt such experiences to local situations in resource constrained environment like in Africa.
Dr. Ogunremi is a Medical Educator and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy from Warwick UK. He has developed quality improvement modules that he trains healthcare providers. In order to make this widely available to all healthcare workers, he has come up with this MasterClass at a highly subsidised rate. The quality of his training is topnotch. Some of the feedbacks can be found on by visiting Monitor Healthcare Ltd google page.
In every quarter, a quality improvement topic is selected based on feedback and observed training needs on the field. Such selected topics are advertised and taught at a heavily subsidised rate as a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) topic. The aim is to give every healthcare worker the opportunity to have quality training at an affordable amount and use the knowledge gained to improve care delivery.
Some of the topics that the DFO Masterclass series has covered are : Empathy, Patient-Centered Care, Duty of Care, Resuscitation Skills, Clinical Governance, and Occupational Health and Safety, among others. The class has impacted and influenced numerous healthcare providers globally.
