Monitor Healthcare at AfriHealth Conference 2025: Leading the Way in Lifesaving Skills and Innovation

From June 18th to 20th, 2025, the vibrant city of Lagos hosted one of the most anticipated events in Nigeria’s healthcare calendar, the AfriHealth Conference & Expo 2025, held at the prestigious Welcome Centre Hotel, Airport Road, Ikeja. This annual gathering of healthcare stakeholders, innovators, and private sector leaders was centered around the theme “Repositioning Nigeria as a Healthcare Excellence Hub and a Destination for Medical Tourism.”

The three-day event featured dynamic exhibitions, product showcases, panel discussions, and high-level conversations aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare system and encouraging public-private partnerships.

Among the highlights of the event was the active participation of Monitor Healthcare Ltd, who brought both expertise and energy to the expo floor and training halls. Our booth featured engaging displays of our ongoing projects and training initiatives, attracting interest from healthcare professionals, hospital representatives, and policy influencers.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Training: Equipping Professionals with Critical Skills

On June 19th and 20th, Monitor Healthcare took center stage by organizing a highly impactful Basic Life Support (BLS) training session, expertly facilitated by Dr. Femi Ogunremi, a renowned healthcare leader and patient safety advocate. The session, which combined theory with hands-on practice, equipped participants with vital emergency response skills such as CPR and airway management.

Participants included doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, many of whom expressed appreciation for the practical, life-saving knowledge they gained. This session further emphasized Monitor Healthcare’s unwavering commitment to empowering healthcare providers with skills that can save lives in emergencies.

Presence of Distinguished Personalities

The conference was graced by several prominent figures in Nigeria’s healthcare and development sectors, including Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and a respected voice in policy and governance. His insights during the panel sessions contributed to deeper discussions on health system reforms and sustainable healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
