At Monitor Healthcare, we are committed to improving health outcomes in schools, workplaces, and communities through preventive healthcare, training, and awareness programmes. This week, we are excited to share updates on our recent outreach, ongoing initiatives, and upcoming activities as we continue working towards a healthier future for all.
First Aid Training at Life Forte School, Ibadan
This week, our team carried out a First Aid Training Outreach at Life Forte School, Ibadan. The training was designed to equip elementary school teachers with essential skills to effectively respond to emergencies that may arise in school settings.
Participants received hands-on guidance on how to manage common incidents such as fainting, choking, bleeding, burns, and fractures. They were also introduced to the basics of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the importance of quick intervention before medical professionals arrive.
The interactive sessions gave teachers the opportunity to practice real-life scenarios, ask questions, and build confidence in their ability to safeguard their pupils. By the end of the programme, participants expressed their appreciation for the practical knowledge gained, reaffirming the value of first aid training in creating safer school environments.
Ongoing Quality Improvement Programme with SafeCare
Our Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) with SafeCare is progressing strongly as we continue to support numerous healthcare facilities in enhancing their service delivery.
Through this programme, we provide tailored support that helps facilities move from one quality level to another by implementing structured Quality Improvement Plans. This process not only raises standards of care but also builds a sustainable culture of accountability and patient safety within facilities.
We remain dedicated to walking alongside healthcare providers as they strengthen their systems, ensuring that communities receive reliable and effective healthcare services.
October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month
As October draws closer, we are gearing up for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a period dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and encouraging preventive action.
To mark this important month, Monitor Healthcare will be conducting a Breast Screening Programme using our innovative Breast-I Device. This device, which has been tested and proven effective in the UK and other European countries, provides a fast, safe, and reliable method for breast screening.
Beyond the screenings, our programme will also feature awareness talks, self-examination education, and lifestyle tips to help women take proactive steps in safeguarding their breast health. We are especially focused on reaching underserved communities, ensuring that socioeconomic status is never a barrier to life-saving screening and education.
Early detection remains the most effective tool in the fight against breast cancer, and we are committed to empowering women with the resources they need to protect their health.
Upcoming October Trainings
In addition to our health outreach programmes, we are pleased to announce our October Trainings, designed for individuals seeking to build a career in healthcare. Participants will have the opportunity to earn internationally recognized certifications, including:
• CPD UK Certification in Basic Life Support
• CPD UK Certification in First Aid
• European Resuscitation Council Certification
These trainings provide the knowledge and credentials required to excel as a healthcare assistant both locally and internationally. With hands-on modules and expert facilitators, participants will gain practical skills while advancing their career opportunities.
Moving Forward
From empowering teachers with first aid skills, to supporting healthcare facilities through SafeCare, to raising awareness about breast cancer and offering career-building trainings, Monitor Healthcare continues to deliver on its mission of making healthcare more accessible, preventive, and impactful.
Together, we are building safer schools, stronger healthcare facilities, and healthier communities.
