In the month of May, Monitor Healthcare Nigeria successfully delivered Basic Life Support (BLS) programmes across three key locations, empowering over 39 individuals with critical emergency response skills:

Smiley Montessori School,Sangotedo, Lagos – 22nd of May 2025

As part of our Schools Health & Safety Initiative, we delivered an intensive BLS training for 8 teaching and non-teaching staff at Smiley School. This session focused on:

Responding to choking emergencies using age-appropriate techniques like abdominal thrusts and back blows.

Administering CPR to children, including chest compressions and rescue breaths.

Handling drowning scenarios, emphasizing rapid intervention within critical minutes.

Boosting safety awareness across the school community through discussions and emergency action planning.

Hands-on drills using mannequins gave staff the confidence to act during real emergencies. The school’s leadership described the training as “timely, practical, and eye-opening”.

Staff engaged in an energetic BLS session, learning CPR techniques and how to respond to choking and cardiac emergencies. The school leadership commended the program for boosting student confidence and safety awareness.

Alpha Pharmacy, Ikeja Lagos -23rd of May 2025

Healthcare professionals at Alpha Pharmacy participated in a refresher BLS course tailored to real-world scenarios in the pharmacy and outpatient care setting. The session sparked strong discussions on emergency preparedness in healthcare environments.

Healthcare workers at Alpha Pharmacy participated in a tailored BLS training designed to enhance emergency preparedness in pharmacy environments. The training emphasized quick assessment, CPR techniques for adults and children, and AED usage. Staff appreciated the hands-on practice and discussed integrating emergency response planning into their daily routines.

These impactful trainings are part of our mission to build a safer, healthier Nigeria, one skill at a time.

Sure Path School, Lekki ,31st of May 2025

The BLS session at Sure Path School brought together staff in an interactive session that blended CPR training, choking response techniques, and scenario-based learning. The energy and curiosity among the staffs highlighted the importance of building safety awareness from a young age.
In this training, staff were taught with hands-on simulations, ensuring they left equipped to respond effectively during medical emergencies. It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm from such educators
